the cap. Ezekiel 34 has two parts on the same subject. Among vs
. 1 to-16, by the prophet, God is admonishing a hard or strong as the leaders of the people, (The king, rulers, princes, etc) symbolized under the figure of the shepherd who feeds his flock. Chap. 33 God appeals to the need for repentance necessary condition for national and happier times to come and as a condition for removing the false leaders of his people, in preparation for lifting the Good Shepherd. In Jer. 23:1 and Zech. 17:7 shows us that the removal of the false shepherds of the people is necessary preliminary to the coming of the Good Shepherd, the Messiah promised to his people.
The false leaders were those who sought only in the direction of God's people, meeting their selfish purpose at the expense of the sacrifice of God's people without regard to the welfare of the sheep, which are a symbol of the town. V. 3-4 records the strongest words addressed to the leaders Israel when he says: "You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with wool, the fat degolláis, most do not feed the sheep. Not strengthened the weak, you have not healed the sick, have not bound up the injured, or re-entry into the wayward, or look for the lost, but you have ruled them harshly and violence. "
The other part of the chapter, the v . 16 passes of the abuses of rulers to the injustices that occurred in the village by "fat sheep" to "weak sheep." He says I will judge between "sheep and sheep." God not only sees the injustice of those who lead the people but also the injustice that occurs within the town because of social class differences, economic, labor, etc. .. It seems that it is an evil that is spread from top to bottom. And those who are in prominent positions, such as employers, managers, directors, take advantage, sometimes, their position and status to subjugate, abuse, exploit and make fun of the needy. This not only happens in the political and economic order only, but all this goes through the religious order also when people are in front of church officials do not act consistently with their status as "sheep" and also abuse their own sisters causing righteous intervention of God to put things in order in his village.
But the chapter ends with a beautiful promise to all: vs.
