Jude 23
Generally, when we read these verses come to mind so many clothes we received as a gift, worldwide, and we wonder, will it be good to use? Is there any negative spiritual influence to adversely influence me?
Before explaining this phrase, we need to understand that the true believer is freedom from fear, is covered by the blood of Jesus Christ and have a protective fence around it that keeps you from evil. Living in this kind of fear steals peace and security. Secondly, we have the power of prayer. Through it we can sanctify what they give us to eat, the house where we live, and even the clothes they give us we will use for ourselves and for others. If we do not understand, yet we have relationships with people of the world because many of them are extremely sinful. Paul exhorts us, but, not to take communion or engage in sinful acts of them (1 Cor. 5:10).
Now we come to verse of Jude. I researched and Exegetical Commentary and Explanatory of the Bible, reads: "This was a proverb (in those days) by which it meant that we avoided the remotest contact with sin, hating their borders. Metaphorically, the clothing was a symbol of sin because that is what has more contact with them. As a proverbial phrase should not be taken literally, but go to the meaning of this proverb.
We must be careful with the form of language, because we habamos, metaphorically without realizing a large percentage of our language. Eg.: "You have to break your head to become a doctor", "Use your head to work," "Do not eat with your eyes" (eat moderately), "Hop on a rocket" (go fast).
So what did he mean Judas? If we read the context of the verse you realize
. 17-25, the emphasis that the apostle gives this in verse 21 which says: "Keep yourselves in the love of God, awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life"
conclude: "discard contaminated clothing is equivalent to "keep ourselves in the love of God"
