What is meant by "God and repented?

As that generation had filled the cup of his patience, he was to make a terrible demonstration of justice. (Ecclesiastes 8:11) This can be explained as follows: we are on the perimeter of a building. As we go along, we are looking at different aspects of it, but the building is static. Likewise, God does not change, but according to the position in which man is placed in relationship with God, receive from him the influence of one aspect: either the blessing of his mercy or the terrible effects of his justice.
God is love, but it is also a consuming fire. God is not changing, we who change our relationship with him.
