Jacob's deception

"do you justify the deception of his father Jacob?

Jacob had every right to the birthright of two very good reasons: first, a prophecy he had given and, second, that prophecy had become effective in the contract of sale of birthright from Esau and Jacob. This contract was legal and was fully supported by the laws of the time.

Isaac knew all this, but its bias toward Esau induced him to break with the established law. Patriarchal blessing, even verbal, he was a legally valid testamentary document of any other transaction made before his death. For its part, Esau wanted to get back what we so frivolously, he had lost. Thus, establishing a plot to remove Jacob legally belonged to him. Following

whole family attitude very carnal, Rebecca, and Jacob, decided to counteract the action without waiting for God to intervene, set the deception so well, apparently brought. Indeed, Jacob received the blessing of his father and with that "testamentary document" fully and forever confirmed his right to the birthright.

But there was very unpleasant consequences: it breaks the bond between Jacob and Esau, who tried to kill him bitter. Jacob had to flee to a foreign land where he suffered much, being deceived and exploited over and over again. Rebecca never again see his beloved son and with her husband suffered a bitter rebellion of his son Esau, who brought the family to idolatrous Canaanite women.
